We help businesses success by finding the people they need, while helping our population grow.About Our OpportunityThe Senior Engagement Specialist is a key member of the Retention and Attraction unit. This position works closely with the Retention and Marketing team, including the community navigators to understand employer needs, attract the people they require and ensure those newcomers have access to services to supports that will support greater retention.
This position is responsible for the development of engagement strategies and sector plans to address labour shortages through international and national activity. This position is accountable for evaluating, monitoring and assessing the of effectiveness of programs and initiatives to better support employers and communities. This position manages complex partner consultations which may include the development of discussion papers and will be responsible for work required to inform provincial priorities and budgeting for population growth.The Senior Engagement Specialist will support the work of the work of the branch including Programs, Policy and Investigations and Compliance sitting on and/or leading various working groups and presenting to senior level leaders in a variety of sectors including universities, employers, sector councils and associations and other senior government officials in the federal and provincial governments. This includes leading project teams, providing research support or managing consultants.This position reports to the Manager of Marketing and Engagement.Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this position, you hold a bachelor\'s degree in commerce, communications or marketing, and eight (8) years related experience; or related Master\'s degree and six (6) years related experience, including experience gathering, researching, and analyzing information; being part of and leading working groups; building strong relationships and developing and executing engagement strategies. You have gained expertise in interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, policies, and guidelines. You are proficient in various computer software programs such as Microsoft Suite. You display a passion for our purpose and our Province, with knowledge of government departments and organizations involved in population growth, citizenship and immigration. Objective decision making, as it pertains to the assessment of programs, is a must.
