Job Overview:
Matrix Design Graphics is seeking an experienced
Full Time Electronics Technician to focus on the wiring of electronic components and assembly of fire alarm graphics and custom fire alarm enclosures and assembly of parts
. If you are a professional in production, have a strong skillset working with tools - and can work independently, cross-functionally and can can follow the design process from drawings to completion. We'd like to speak with you. There is also an opportunity for growth in a leadership role.
Minimum Requirements:
Holds a diploma in electrical engineering, electronics or mechatronics from an accredited Canadian institution
Minimum of 5 years work experience in Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing
Fluent English - spoken and written
Excellent time management, prioritization skills, and attention to detail
Able to:
Lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
Understand both imperial and metric units of measure
Manual dexterity: attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination
Ability to distinguish between colours
Combination of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs
Keep an organized and efficient work area
Fluent in Microsoft 365 & working knowledge of an inventory ERP system (QuickBooks)
Qualifications & Responsibilities
Ability to read and understand assembly documentation including electronic schematics, specifications, and assembly instructions
Manual assembly of electronic components; install, mount, fasten, align, and adjust parts on fire alarm enclosures.
Wire components; point to point wiring, crimping, completing harnesses to subassemblies to build active display fire alarm active graphics and other products - see company website for examples of our work
Perform hand soldering and rework of all TH and SMT components, assemblies and custom parts
Inspect, trouble shoot & ensure electronic components and assemblies meet design requirements and are 100% compliant
Proficient with hand & mechanical power tools; panel saw, metal chop saw, pneumatic tools, jigs
Final assembly and packaging of completed orders to ship to customers
Has experience with AutoCAD to design in 2D - an asset & opportunity
Manage time effectively to meet production deadlines while adhering to safety protocols.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
