Senior Electrical Engineer Mining

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical systems and infrastructure within large-scale mining operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in power distribution, automation, and maintenance management, with a focus on safety, reliability, and compliance. This role operates on a FIFO (Fly-In/Fly-Out) basis to the mine site near Quebec City.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems for mining operations, including substations, switchgear, motors, drives, and control systems.
Conduct power system studies, load analysis, and preventive maintenance planning.
Ensure compliance with Canadian and provincial (Quebec) electrical codes and mining safety standards.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues affecting production and safety.
Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and documentation for audits and inspections.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and electrical technicians on site.
Liaise with vendors, contractors, and external stakeholders for project execution and equipment procurement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00-$151,205.15 per year
