GEI Consultants, Canada is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a key role in shaping the electrical systems that power water and wastewater infrastructure across Canada. Essential Responsibilities & Duties

Lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure. Conduct condition assessments, arc flash and coordination studies, and other evaluations of electrical systems. Develop technical drawings, specifications, reports, and contract documents. Provide mentorship to junior staff and contribute to technical excellence across projects. Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Support field activities such as site inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Ensure adherence to Canadian electrical codes, safety regulations, and client requirements. Contribute to business development efforts, proposals, and client engagement.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada, or eligibility to obtain it. 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, including 5+ years in water/wastewater or municipal infrastructure. Strong command of the Canadian (CEC) and Ontario Electrical Codes (OESC) and related standards (IEEE). Experience in arc flash and coordination studies. Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software. Excellent communication and project coordination skills. Physical and environmental requirements for this position are available upon request.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to SCADA, instrumentation, and automation systems. Familiarity with electrical systems in other industries such as oil and gas and transportation systems.
