Senior Electrical Designer / Drafter - Primary Responsibilities



Develop electrical layout drawings, grounding plans, area classifications, and lighting layouts based on plot plans and surveys Produce single-line diagrams and MV/LV schematics, including VFD schematics, from P&IDs Design contactor panels, lighting panels, and junction box layouts, including associated schematics Develop I/O schematics and control panel designs from P&IDs Create 3D cable tray routing and develop building and equipment layouts Lead and participate in internal and external 3D model review sessions Ensure all designs comply with company procedures, engineering standards, and applicable codes Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams

Requirements



This is an

in-office position

based in Calgary Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Controls Technology, or equivalent industry experience Minimum

10 years of experience

in electrical, instrumentation, and/or controls design, preferably in an EPCM or consulting environment within the oil and gas industry Proficiency in 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and material take-offs Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams Working knowledge of the

Canadian Electrical Code

and

API RP 500 / 505

Pay: $70.00-$90.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
