Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in project planning by accurately assessing costs and preparing comprehensive estimates for construction projects. Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements using tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. Develop accurate pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to ensure competitive yet profitable bids. Collaborate with project management teams to develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans. Conduct negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms and pricing. Review project documents to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities. Assist in the development of bid proposals, including scope of work, schedules, and cost breakdowns. Maintain organized records of all estimating activities for future reference and audit purposes. Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and construction techniques to enhance estimating accuracy.

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles. Proficiency in estimating software such as On Screen Take off is highly desirable; familiarity with Plan Swift is a plus. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing and budgeting tasks. Excellent communication skills for clear articulation of estimates and negotiation outcomes. Prior experience working on diverse construction projects across commercial, residential, or industrial sectors is preferred. This role requires a proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. The Construction Estimator will be instrumental in ensuring our projects are accurately priced while maintaining competitive advantage through strategic negotiations and precise project assessments.
