About the role

We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Document Control who will contribute to the development, implementation, and administration of operational document control systems to maximize efficiency, meet changing business needs, and align to global standardized requirements.

This position is a great opportunity to grow your capability at an interesting location. The incumbent works a 2 week on, 2 week off rotation at the Lac de Gras Mine Site
  • Oversee document control and records management for the mine site.
  • Ensuring quality assurance for controlled documents, such as correct document number, title, revision, effective date, and approvals.
  • Contributing to and leading activities related to Document Control efficiencies
  • Maintain the Document Control System for timely management of documents requiring review and or approval and provide notification upon receipt of documents. Monitor and execute full cycle of distribution.
  • Monitoring the document review schedules for Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensuring departments are adhering to document control practices and procedures.
  • Oversee day-day of business collaboration tools including but limited to; inward facing communication platforms and repositories.
  • Enforce the compliance and conformance of HSEQMS Standards for Document Control and Management of Change (MOC).
  • Responsible for the compliance of DDMI Retention Schedule \xe2\x80\x93 management, ensure compliance (per Rio Tinto schedule), seek amendments as needed.
  • Perform document searches as required.
  • Perform additional project work assigned and approved by the Superintendent, Personnel Logistics & CMX.

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • Education in a related field will be highly regarded
  • A minimum of five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in systems support role
  • A minimum of five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in document control or record management related role
  • Proficient with all Microsoft office applications
  • Proficient with SharePoint administration required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively resolve problems and make sound decisions
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in contributing to information management standards
  • Highly organized with excellent project management and analysis skills
