POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Director of Sales & Operations will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for driving multi-channel sales performance, overseeing daily operations, and building scalable processes that enables sustainable growth. This leader will develop and execute retail strategies to improve profitability, enhance customer engagement, streamline operations, and strengthen cross-functional alignment across the company, in-store and online.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Sales Leadership
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets, service, sales and operational excellence.
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing sales teams across all retail channels.
Oversee key client and partner relationships, ensuring strong account management and retention.
Implement KPIs and performance dashboards to monitor sales effectiveness, such as Sales & Margin to plan, Conversion, ATV, UPT, email capture & shrink.
2. Operations Management
Implement consistent, in-store luxury experiences, events and activations.
Drive operational excellence across stores, supply chain/logistics, and customer service functions.
Develop and refine standard operating procedures that ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
Partner with finance, merchandising, planning, and marketing to manage budgets, forecasts, stock levels, and P&L performance.
Partner with 'People' team to optimize workforce planning, training, staffing and performance management
Scheduling for maximum productivity and efficiency.
3. Strategic Leadership
Collaborate with the COO and executive team on company-wide growth strategies.
Identify opportunities for expansion, innovation, and process automation.
Champion a culture of accountability, emotional intelligence, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Ensure alignment between sales and operational goals to deliver a seamless customer experience.
THE FIRST 3 MONTHS
First 30 Days
Gain a deep understanding and adoption of Rennai's business model, culture, and customer base.
Conduct a full assessment of current sales planning processes, operational workflows, and team structures.
Prepare and communicate holiday staffing plans, and 360 sales/operations holiday readiness plan.
Build relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization, as well as vendor/external partners.
Establish baseline performance metrics and identify immediate opportunities for improvement.
Next 60 Days
Based on observations, implement quick wins in sales processes and operational efficiencies.
Enhance and stabilize the in-store events/promotional process to ensure 'always on' activations in-store.
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and operations strategy aligned with company goals.
Partner with 'People' team for restructuring or upskilling teams as needed to strengthen performance.
Next 90 Days
Deliver a clear sales growth and operational excellence roadmap.
Present and begin executing a long-term strategy for scaling revenue and optimizing operations.
Embed performance management practices and accountability structures within teams.
Demonstrate measurable improvements in sales performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in luxury retail sales (ideally within the cosmetics/service industry) and operations.
Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and driving operational efficiencies.
Strong financial acumen with P&L management experience.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Bachelor's degree in business/management, or related field required; MBA preferred.
