Why this role is important?

Reporting to the Vice President, Pharmaceutical Partnerships, the Senior Director is responsible for the identification, development, and implementation of growth strategies and new lines of business in partnership with our pharmaceutical partners across the Loblaw and Shoppers enterprise. The Senior Director will lead the team\xe2\x80\x99s business development and commercialization efforts, working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership across the enterprise, as well as key strategic partners. We are seeking an individual with extensive experience in strategic partnerships and business development within healthcare.

What You\'ll Do:

  • Be accountable for driving business targets, growth strategies and new lines of business across the pharmaceutical partnership portfolio, including developing and leading budget and investment planning, and go-to market strategy
  • Lead environment scans, market research, competitive analyses, and financial modelling, interpreting findings into business opportunities for partnership growth
  • Identify, establish and nurture strategic partnerships opportunities and support build out and implementation
  • Negotiate with potential new partners on products, services and offerings and related commercial terms and partnership models
  • Be the key contact on business development for multiple stakeholders across the enterprise, as well as existing and potential external strategic partners
  • Work closely with enterprise teams to ensure the prioritization, implementation and growth of growth strategies and new lines of business
  • Develop and manage team resources to deliver on objectives
  • Collect and analyze data to support strategies and decision-making
  • Use superior power point and written communication skills to create presentations which captivate senior leadership, cross-functional team members and potential partners
What You\'ll Need:
  • University degree with a concentration in Business and / or Health Sciences, preferred
  • MBA or equivalent master\xe2\x80\x99s degree, preferred
  • 7+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in business development and strategic planning in the healthcare and/or digital consumer product space
  • Strong background in partnership, business strategy and execution is required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent power point skills
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Must be able to develop business cases with accompanying investment metric models
  • Ability to be proactive on deliverables
  • Ability to work within a dynamic rapidly growing and evolving environment
  • Ability to work with cross-functional departments to achieve business goals
  • Ability to support negotiations and partnerships with external vendors and business partners
  • Ability to understand healthcare regulatory frameworks and healthcare ecosystem
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills, combined with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be proactive on deliverables
