We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Director, Global Workplace Strategy to join our team on an 18-month fixed-term contract assignment. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, and dotted line reporting to the Chief People and Culture Officer, this dynamic and influential position will lead the strategy and program management of Four Seasons\xe2\x80\x99 Workspace Strategy initiative. This is a global initiative to redesign our office footprint, establish and implement our workplace environment standards across all Four Seasons\xe2\x80\x99 corporate offices, and ensure a best-in-class employee experience and optimal workplace functionality. Through this initiative, Four Seasons\xe2\x80\x99 brand and hospitality DNA will be brought to life in our workplace while enabling us as a high performing organization.

This position will drive the execution of this project bringing together cross functional expertise and input across our design, finance, facilities, technology, and people and culture teams.

Key Activities/ What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing

Workspace Design Strategy:

  • Lead the strategic visioning of Four Season\xe2\x80\x99s workplace environment for our global corporate offices, defining the ambition and guidelines to deliver an optimal employee workplace experience.
  • Work closely with finance and facilities teams to define optimal office footprint.
  • Define design, layout, and ways of working guidelines for our offices, leveraging input from cross-functional teams, employee feedback, past project learnings and understanding of industry-leading workspace design trends.
  • Work closely with People and Culture team to define strategy around employee engagement and ways of working in the office and its implications in office design.
  • Partner with the Information Technology team to ensure the workplace design aligns with optimal technology solutions.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and experience by identifying cost savings opportunities without compromising workspace principles.
Workspace Design Program Management:
  • Create master plan to design and execute workplace strategy, engaging all relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead the coordination of global cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, and third parties to implement the defined plan.
  • Drive timely resolution with decisiveness and clarity, while balancing stakeholder inclusivity and a global perspective.
  • Manage budget for the project.
  • Work with People & Culture teams to lead change management and communications for the initiative.
Desired Skills/ Who You Are
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with experience presenting & preparing materials for design concept workshops, design review sessions, workspace focus groups and executive stakeholder meetings.
  • Ability to work with and mobilize cross-functional teams.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills with an ability to see the broader picture and offer proactive solutions.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing circumstances, and make decisions quickly and effectively.
  • Strong Project Management Skills.
Experience, Education and Professional Qualifications / What You Bring
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in workplace strategy and planning at an architecture, real estate or management consulting firm.
  • 5+ years working in Project Management, preferably with a focus on workplaces or high-profile corporate offices.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing high-priority projects with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Strong track record of developing internal and external stakeholder partnerships and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Previous experience managing design and service providers.
  • Experience working on global real estate portfolio with understanding of design sensitivities and nuances.

This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
