Position Overview

Reporting to the Executive Director, Finance & Strategy, this position is integral to the English Services finance senior management team. You will be directly involved with the FP&A, internal financial reporting, on a monthly and quarterly basis. This role will participate in the development and implementation of the annual and multi-year business plan process and provides strategic input and recommendations to the business. Your role supports the Entertainment, Factual & Sports team, which includes the Olympic Games as well as the Digital Strategy and Product team.

The role works closely with senior management and other key stakeholders including Controllership, French Services finance and Media Solutions finance as well as manages a team of finance professionals. The position has 4 direct reports with an overall team of 15.

Principal Responsibilities

\xe2\x97\x8f Lead and manage the FP&A process for Entertainment, Factual & Sports and Digital Strategy and Product including forecasting reviews with key stakeholders

\xe2\x97\x8f Lead and manage the multi-year business planning process for areas of responsibility

\xe2\x97\x8f Analyze and interpret variances and trends for areas of responsibility, including presenting to all levels of stakeholders

\xe2\x97\x8f Business partner who will work closely with senior management to make recommendations and help inform decisions as it relates to the strategic business objectives

\xe2\x97\x8fMake significant contributions to the ongoing evolution and modernization of Finance, and the development and execution of the financial strategy

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

\xe2\x97\x8f Professional accounting designation such as CPA (CA, CMA, CGA).

\xe2\x97\x8f A minimum of 10 years of both financial and managerial experience, the majority in large, complex enterprises.

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability and skills to make recommendations and provide analytical insight and interpretation of complex financial data to senior management in a clear and concise manner.

\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate with managers to meet both their needs and management accounting objectives. Requires a highly developed sense of client service, enabling the incumbent to listen to clients and correctly interpret each department\'s particular needs.

\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent communications skills, written and oral. Ability to communicate and interact with employees, business managers and management of several departments.

\xe2\x97\x8f Good leadership qualities and be capable of working with various levels of management and in situations either as a team leader or team member.

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to deal with several, sometimes conflicting priorities under pressure in order to meet deadlines and meet multiple urgent demands within tight timeframes.

\xe2\x97\x8f Analytical mind, good judgment and great flexibility for work schedules, to serve diversified clientele and cope with numerous changes.

\xe2\x97\x8f Previous media/broadcast industry experience is an asset.
