Job Summary The Senior Director, Credit Measurement & Analysis, will lead a team of quantitative and technical experts to develop and implement complex credit analytical tools and run technical production processes to support execution of RBC\xe2\x80\x99s stress testing programs.The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work on major strategic initiatives that will revolutionize RBC\xe2\x80\x99s risk management practices and enable the enterprise to remain agile in a world of constantly increasing regulatory standards, as this role will be responsible for the analytics and reporting of stress testing credit related projections across the enterprise, supporting a variety of internal and regulatory stress testing programs such as the EWST, MST, and CCAR programs.What is the opportunity?The Senior Director, Credit Measurement & Analysis, will lead a team of quantitative and technical experts to develop and implement complex credit analytical tools and run technical production processes to support execution of RBC\xe2\x80\x99s stress testing programs.The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work on major strategic initiatives that will revolutionize RBC\xe2\x80\x99s risk management practices and enable the enterprise to remain agile in a world of constantly increasing regulatory standards, as this role will be responsible for the analytics and reporting of stress testing credit related projections across the enterprise, supporting a variety of internal and regulatory stress testing programs such as the EWST, MST, and CCAR programs.We are looking for a well-rounded leader, with strong technical expertise, deep understanding of credit risk management covering IFRS 9, CECL, EWST, MST, and CCAR.What will you do?

  • Oversee staff that develop, document, and implement the reporting and analytical systems to support stress testing related regulatory submissions, analytics and reporting, and ongoing quarterly stress testing results.
  • Continually enhance and implement complex analytic tools such as loss aggregation engines, PCL forecasting / decomposition methodologies, and risk-weighted asset projections used to support stress testing and provisioning programs.
  • Provide direction to ensure stress testing approaches keep pace with regulatory changes and business requirements.
  • Provide quantitative stress testing analysis, concisely and accurately, to business and risk stakeholders, senior management, and regulators.
  • Lead team to conduct data analysis with a strong attention to detail, execute relevant controls, and identify potential errors before they arise.
  • Play a leadership role in the partnership with the business, model development, internal audit and external audit and regulatory review of credit risk models.
  • Master an organizational awareness and network, partner outside of the group, leverage best practices, and articulate the value proposition of the team\xe2\x80\x99s models in RBC; teaches staff how to do this effectively.
What do you need to succeed?Must Have
  • 10+ years of credit analytics experience within financial industry, including deep knowledge of ACL/PCL and credit RWA.
  • Predictive Modelling, Statistical Programming; strong knowledge of SAS, SQL, and Python
  • Familiarity with Retail and Wholesale banking products, with a focus on understanding their structure, macro/risk drivers, and evolution within the banking book
  • Knowledge of regulatory stress testing programs, such as EWST, MST, CCAR
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex solutions in front of internal and external audiences/users and communicating those thoughts to people with various levels of technical expertise;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Master\'s Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or Engineering
