About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Vice President, Operations - Western Zone, the Senior Director of Continuing Care is responsible for the province-wide planning and leadership of the Continuing Care services within the health authority and supports both the clinical and academic mandates of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. Working closely with the Department of Senior\'s and Long Term Care and the strategic direction it sets, the Senior Director provides leadership in the design and implementation of a provincial integrated Continuing Care program of care and in the development and execution of strategic and operational plans that support excellence in care delivery, improvement in health outcomes, and achievement of standards of care established by the Department and both health authorities.
The Senior Director ensures continuous improvement to advance a vision of excellence within the Continuing Care program of care and is responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of quality management and safety programs, and compliance with relevant standards and accreditation requirements. The Senior Director facilitates and champions a learning and research environment that aligns with the current and proposed future state of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
