Objectives of This Role

\xe2\x97\x8f Planning, architecting, refactoring, and optimizing web application products offered.

\xe2\x97\x8f Participating in team check-ins, and product planning & review meetings.

\xe2\x97\x8f Reviewing code changes made by others and recommending opportunities for improvement/refactoring of code for readability, security, and performance.

\xe2\x97\x8f Reviewing our applications to document, propose, and execute code refactors for functionality, security, and performance.

\xe2\x97\x8f Writing internal documentation as new functionality is released, or when new development processes are implemented.

\xe2\x97\x8f From time to time, there is a need for out of office hours support for critical bugs, or infrastructure issues. It\xe2\x80\x99s rare, but it can happen!

\xe2\x97\x8f Reviewing project planning designs & documentation and creating software release plans along with implementation milestones before development kicks off.

\xe2\x97\x8f Mentoring and training other developers & new hires to bring them up to speed with our applications and development processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

\xe2\x97\x8f Post secondary degree in Computer Science preferred

\xe2\x97\x8f 8+ years of software development experience

\xe2\x97\x8f 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails Development

\xe2\x97\x8f Good working knowledge and experience with AWS and Heroku

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience working in remote teams
