Mission Statement: Create, modify, and analyze equipment design, systems or installations, including specifications for manufacturing, fabrication or construction on assignments of medium to high complexity using established solutions. The role is to lead the design and development projects for electrical distribution and controls equipment according to customer specifications, participate in business development programs, improve the product cost and quality.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design of electrical distribution and control equipment according customer specifications.
  • Provide engineering expert consultancy to customers and methods to delivery specification requirements.
  • Lead project review meetings and present design solutions, identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Determine scope of work, identify risks, estimate project costs, resources and timelines for pro-jects delivery.
  • Address technical queries and respond to project delivery issues, ensuring timely resolution and the customer satisfaction.
  • Perform design, drawings and other engineering documents validation.
  • Able to perform design and drafting work to support the successful projects delivery.
  • Provide technical product support to internal and external personnel as required.
  • Ensure documents are controlled in a consistent format, and all changes are recorded accurately.
  • Identify and develop potential incremental business development opportunities arising within the projects.
  • Influence and share best practice in engineering disciplines, looking to enhance department per-formance ability to deliver quality client solutions.
  • Mentor colleagues, participate in personnel development.
Your background
  • 5 to 10 years' experience in electro-mechanical engineering, design and manufacturing electrical distribution equipment and control panels up to 1000 V.
  • Knowledge in electrical distribution equipment as switchboards, panelboards, MCC and motor control integration.
  • Knowledge of ERP system (SAP preferable).
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD software (AutoCAD Inventor) and file manager (Autodesk Vault)
  • Strong leadership ability.
  • Strong communication skills, bilingualism (French and English).
  • Proven engineering skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining the high attention to details, team player.
  • Ability to identify the process and design improvements and actively participate in solutions.
