Responsibilities
Oversee fixed-budget/fixed-price projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations
Successfully manage offshore-onshore team structures
Navigate client and stakeholder expectations while ensuring transparency and delivering value
Understand and help navigate mainframe modernization projects, transitioning legacy systems to modern architectures deployed in cloud
Collaborate with technical teams to understand, implement, and oversee Microservices architecture, Java Spring Boot applications, Kafka architectures, and API development
Assist with improving Agile practices, facilitating discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution within the team
Contribute to internal organizational communication to maintain transparency and radiate progress information
Coordinate and manage application release/versioning processes, ensuring smooth transitions between application versions
Remove impediments or guide the team in addressing obstacles through creative problem-solving and coordination
Navigate and negotiate change orders with customers by providing revised plan, assumptions and dependencies
Requirements
Minimum of 18+ years of relevant work experience in delivery management, software project leadership, and modernization efforts
Proven expertise in managed delivery of Fixed Fee / Fixed Price projects involving negotiating contracts, change orders and execution
Experience performing the Technical Delivery Manager role for at least four years, successfully managing software development teams
Strong understanding of Microservices architecture, Java Spring Boot, Kafka, and API solutions
Familiarity with modernization concepts, from transitioning legacy systems to implementing modernized solutions
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching abilities
Skilled in stakeholder management, removing team impediments, and driving high-quality delivery outcomes
Demonstrated ability to coordinate distributed teams across different geographies and time zones
