BackgroundEdgecom Energy is a purpose driven clean-tech software firm. We deliver software solutions and consulting services to some of Ontarios largest energy consumers. Our mission is to remove the barriers large energy consumers face in reducing carbon emissions and we achieve this through a suite of web-based energy and emission management tools.Our clients include Fortune 500 companies, manufacturing plants, real estate investment trusts, green-houses, and everything in between.You will be reporting directly to the CTO. You will get a hands-on perspective of the energy transition as it's happening in real time, working with some of the largest and most sophisticated energy consumers in the world. You will be at the forefront of tech, sustainability, and energy in a mission-driven start-up.What you will do in more detail:

• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes.
• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

What you bring to the table:

• Passion and Understanding of Energy Management and Sustainability reporting tools, electricity and energy markets and programs.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
• Strong knowledge of ML algorithms such as xgboost, rndforest, lstm, etc.
• Harness your expertise in vector and graph databases to architect and optimize AI solutions tailored to our specific needs.
• Showcase proficiency in Python, the cornerstone tools for our projects, while leveraging Git for version control and collaboration.
• Demonstrate knowledge of deep learning techniques to enhance model performance and accuracy.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Comfortable working with third-party dependencies and debugging conflicts
• Proven understanding of Agile development methodologies

Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per yearBenefits:
