The SP team\'s primary goals are to help shoppers discover new products they love, be the most efficient way for advertisers to meet their business objectives, and build a sustainable business that continuously innovates on behalf of customers. Our products and solutions are strategically important to enable our Retail and Marketplace businesses to drive long-term growth.Key job responsibilities
- Deliver independently on challenging large-scale problems with high complexity and ambiguity.
- Define customer problems, propose effective solutions, and define solution metrics.
- Partner with Engineers to deliver experiments and deep dive results to report on improvement across key metrics.
- Retrieve, synthesize, and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to answering specific questions or improving system performance.
- Analyze historical data to identify shopper or business trends.
- Build Machine Learning and statistical models to solve business and customer problems.
- Given anecdotes about anomalies, deep dive to explain why they happen and identify fixes.
- Conduct written and verbal presentations to share insights to audiences of varying levels of technical sophistication.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Toronto, ON, CANBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
- 4+ years of data scientist experience
- Bachelor\'s degree
- Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regressionPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 2+ years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc. experience
- Experience managing data pipelines
