Servier Pharmaceutical Laboratories are transforming their way to research and develop drugs. Our goal is to reimagine medicine using Data driven and Artificial intelligence (AI) approaches. To succeed, we have launched an ambitious data driven transformation program and created an AI Hub in Montreal, located in the most famous incubator: the CENTECH.

We are looking for exceptional data scientists to design and execute data and analytics use cases in the AI Hub. You will have the opportunity to join a growing team focused on innovation and driving

The AI Hub is focused on Research and Development (R&D) projects aimed at various subjects. These can include identifying key disease genes, optimizing molecule design, and identifying resistance or response biomarkers to a drug using various data sources such as textual data, medical images, and
genomic data.

The AI HUB is part of the Data Factoy team headquarted in France, which has a center of expertise responsible to accelerate the design and deployment of machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions. This is accomplished through the development and sharing of expertise in various AI subjects (graph, NLP, image, etc.) and the development of cross-cutting technical components (\'services\') within the groups data platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop AI algorithms (Deep learning/Machine learning) in order to boost molecule research and generate clinical hypotheses/ knowledge that bring value to Servier\'s drugs development
• Leverage an understanding of software architecture and software design patterns to write scalable, maintainable, well-designed and future-proof code
• Design, develop and maintain the framework of AI pipeline
• Design machine learning systems and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools
• Analysis and documentation of data from variety of sources and formats
• Work to translate prototypes into new products, services, and features and provide guidelines for large-scale implementation.
• Remain up to date on industry research and new techniques in machine learning

You will closely work with Servier members of Data factory team in France to deliver high-quality programming related to Artificial Intelligence.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• PhD in Machine learning or a related field with deep knowledge of data science
• 4+ years of experience working as a Machine Learning Engineer, or in a similar position.
• Proficiency in Python
• Solid experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch or any other deep learning frameworks
• Solid experience working with neural network models such as CNNs, RNN/LSTM, GAN, ...
• Experience with meta learning, multi-task learning, reinforcement learning, active learning, explainability, natural language processing (NLP)
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle, design, implementation, debugging, testing, coding standards and code reviews
• Experience working with version control systems (e.g. git), CI/CD for machine learning pipelines (e.g. MLflow, Kubeflow, GCP - Vertex AI, .. )
• Experience in designing RESTful APIs (e.g. FastAPI, Flask)
• Experience with docker and Kubernetes
• Experience working with large data sets and pipelines in an industrialized mode
• Experience with Cloud environments (GCP is a plus)
• Broad knowledge of computer science and systems; ability to quickly learn new domains
• Ability to read and comprehend scientific articles on machine learning and apply them to biological data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to actively contribute to the validation of model results and analyses with the R&D team. (Knowledge of biological data such as genomics, medical imaging, molecular is a plus)
