• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources by creating and maintaining Azure Data Factory pipelines
• Implement and manage on-premise SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for data integration and transformation
• Design and architect data and data flow solutions
• Maintain and ensure data quality, integrity, security and consistency across multiple data sources and platforms
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database, pipeline, and integrations issues where and when needed
• Assist with the migration of SQL Server databases from on-premise to Azure environments
• Analyze and design data schemas based on understanding of stakeholder needs and requirements
• Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to support business requirements
• Engage closely with other departments, especially IT and cloud teams, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
• Assist in mentoring junior data analysts and provide training when necessary
• Provide recommendations based on data insights and industry best practices to guide business decisions
• Create various types of documentation including solution design, team member training documents and support material
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and data optimization

Skills and Experience

• At least five years of experience hands-on with SQL Server
• Demonstrated high level of skill with writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions
• Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, or other Azure data services
• Understanding of database architectures and design principles, including data warehousing, non-relational databases, and medallion architecture concepts
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is considered an asset
• Knowledge of or experience in the accounting industry is considered an asset but not required
