Position: Senior Cybersecurity Architect
Location: Downtown Toronto, hybrid
Job Type: PermanentWe are hiring for a Senior Cybersecurity Architect on behalf of one of our clients in the Retail Sector in Toronto, to design, build and implement secure systems organization wide. In this role, you will:- Conduct assessments of the current and future state of security architecture
- Contribute to the overall cybersecurity strategy and roadmap
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical leadership, ensure that security solutions align with the organizations business needs and goals.
- Anticipate security threats and identify areas of weakness in the organizations network system and also cultivate a culture of security awareness and leading continuing education to ensure security policies are adhered to at all times
- Stay current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and utilize this knowledge to drive innovation in the organization\'s cybersecurity practicesRequirements of the role:- Expert knowledge of cybersecurity principles and experience with complex IT systems and stay up to date with current security technologies and latest standards
- Work with the business to assess and document the security requirements of projects by recommending solutions, identifying security risks, and recommending mitigations
- Define cybersecurity requirements for cloud technology solutions aligning with Enterprise Security Architecture frameworks and standards.
- Work closely with other teams within the organization, such as IT, to ensure that security measures are implemented effectively and in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, PCI, and industry standards
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures, researching and testing security solutions (such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and authentication systems), and monitoring security systems on an ongoing basis Education/Certifications:- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Technology, or relevant work experience.
- CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100), or equivalent
