What you'll do




Are you a dynamic copywriter with a passion for writing and editing compelling marketing copy? If so, we are currently looking for a talented Senior Copywriter to join Canadian Tire's In-House Content & Creative team.



Reporting to the Manager, Creative Copy & Content, the Senior Copywriter must be equal parts writer, editor, and storyteller. Aside from expert wordsmithing, you have exceptional organizational and communication skills and can transform basic ideas into engaging and inspiring content. You will champion our brand tone and have a passion for purpose-driven, storytelling in the retail space.


The ideal candidate also possesses a great attitude and positive nature. You are organized, open to feedback and can take ownership over projects while delivering quality work under tight deadlines.

Creative conceptualization and iteration for marketing campaign projects, promotions and seasonal moments. Write purposeful, consumer-led copy across site, email, social media and print with a masterful sense of tone to engage relevant audiences. Champion brand expression and tone of voice through the OMNI channel process Assist with copy editing and governance Develop proactive ideas and solutions that address brand and business goals. Present concepts to project stakeholders and leadership Understand AI automation and embrace it as a tool

What you bring



7+ years experience as a creative copywriter for an agency or in-house creative team. Strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and t The ability to manage multiple projects is a must Have a compelling portfolio that demonstrates your creative experience in elevating a brand You can distill information into engaging stories that are executable. Work that proves you can think big and optimize based on channel You thrive in a team environment and get along well with others in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects differentiates you. You have exceptional presentation skills with the ability to clearly and articulately explain your rationale. You are passionate about transforming brands through storytelling. You up to speed with relevant trends within the social landscape including Meta, Tik Tok, Pinterest and SnapChat
