The Role
We are seeking an
experienced Senior Controls Technician
to join our team in Windsor, Ontario. This key role supports the Controls Division with day-to-day responsibilities, including drawing review, document maintenance, managing new and retrofit installations, servicing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of environmental control systems--all while delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform contract document reviews and material take-offs.
Design, compile, and submit required contract documents.
Manage onsite installations and complete all required controller programming.
Perform service, start-ups, repairs, and troubleshooting of building environmental control systems.
Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, replacements, and modifications per service agreements.
Stay current on products, installations, operations, and maintenance practices.
Provide technical support and basic training to customers.
Be available for occasional after-hours and weekend service calls.
Travel to customer job sites as required.
Attend emergency calls as needed.
Qualifications
Diploma in
Electronics, Process Controls, Building Automation
, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum
3 years' experience
working with building automation systems and HVAC.
Experience with
Reliable Controls
or other pneumatic/electronic Automatic Temperature Control systems.
Proficient in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, Visio).
Familiarity with advanced script-based programming languages.
Strong ability to read blueprints, engineering specifications, and project plans.
Knowledge of HVAC equipment and peripheral devices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license with clean abstract; own transportation to job sites required.
