We are currently seeking a Senior Consultant, based in our Toronto office. The successful candidate will focus on providing our clients with an in-depth range of valuation and advisory services. As part of the Cushman & Wakefield

This position provides objective, impartial and unbiased opinions about the value of real property for a variety of clients and intended users. Performs a range of functions, including comprehensive and detailed market research, report writing and creating complex financial models.



RESPONSIBILITIES \xef\x82\xa7 The Advisor will provide advice and/or perform valuations on a wide range of real estate and property interests in a timely and cost-efficient manner. He or she will be required to provide advice to clients, client representatives and lawyers on valuation reports prepared by third parties. The position requires active participation and accreditation in one or more of the applicable professional association(s) such as: \xef\x82\xa7 The Advisor will be expected to promote and develop relationships with lawyers and other professionals who either directly or indirectly assists in providing dispute resolution services for the purpose of enhancing the Company\xe2\x80\x99s products and services and develop new and additional business. \xef\x82\xa7 The Senior Consultant (the \xe2\x80\x9cAdvisor\xe2\x80\x9d) has advanced knowledge and experience in the application of appraisal techniques, methodologies, procedures and professional standards in or more specific areas of valuation and would be considered the company expert in that area. He or she will be expected to project a professional image to all clients and client representatives, lawyers, arbiters, planners, engineers and other professionals throughout the assignment. \xef\x82\xa7 Research and assess information on hundreds of properties across Canada. \xef\x82\xa7 Construct financial models including discounted cash flow utilizing ARGUS software. \xef\x82\xa7 Research benchmark rates of return, including cap rates and discount rates. \xef\x82\xa7 Inspect properties and interview market participants each week. \xef\x82\xa7 Prepare highest and best use land and property studies. \xef\x82\xa7 Confirm the characteristics of different property types and ensure the correct property classification. \xef\x82\xa7 Work as part of a team on client engagements on a portfolio of properties. \xef\x82\xa7 Provide training and mentorship for new consultants. QUALIFICATIONS \xef\x82\xa7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, preferable in finance, business, urban studies or economics. \xef\x82\xa7 At a minimum, this position requires a basic understanding of property law in terms of lease agreements, mortgages, title registration, easements and other types of limited property interests, with some understanding of expropriation proceedings and other types of judicial processes and tribunals. \xef\x82\xa7 Strong communications skill both written and oral. \xef\x82\xa7 Excellent command of the English language. \xef\x82\xa7 A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
