In this role, you will develop and execute external communications that promote CIBCs capabilities, insight, advice, reputation and corporate story. You report to the Senior Director, Public Affairs, and will work with partners across the bank.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Youll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where youll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How youll succeed

• Strategic Communications - You know what is news and apply strong analytical and media relations skills in developing stellar communications strategies, media releases, social content and key messages.
• Reputation and Brand Management - You proactively gather facts and apply solid judgment in managing media opportunities and issues.
• Public Relations - You play a key role in external efforts to promote CIBCs client-focused business initiatives and consumer research, as well as subject experts in the areas of personal finance, wealth/asset management, economics and organizational effectiveness.

Who you are

• You have demonstrated experience in media relations, social media and managing complex communication challenges. Its an asset if you have experience in and/or knowledge of banking and its diversified client segments.
