We lead strategic development and execution of day-to-day operations, develop tools and processes to drive service enhancements, manage customer loyalty and retention, and leverage big data and artificial intelligence to create intellectual property.

Summary

This Senior Consultant, Budget Analysis is responsible for leading the planning and preparation of the annual budget, monthly/quarterly forecasts, month-end reports, and weekly executive reports. You will work on key strategic initiatives intending to transform the business and simplify complexity in the ecosystem, while balancing operational service level needs and financial constraints. You will work closely with external partners and leaders across many departments internally, including Call Center Operations, Procurement, Workforce Management, Design and Delivery, BI and Finance. You will also be involved in developing strategies, performing deep dives and analytics, and developing and presenting to the executive team.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a proactive, collaborative leader and strategic business partner who is client focused, results-oriented and has demonstrated an ability to work in a fast-paced, complex and analytical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop short-term and long-term strategy with the goal of optimizing the allocation of budget to improve performance and customer experience while maintaining agility and cost effectiveness
  • Develop capacity plans, annual budget, monthly and quarterly forecasts and long-range strategic plan
  • Manage and monitor performance and develop robust analytical and financial reporting including scorecards of business KPIs and spend
  • Produce weekly month-end expense forecasts identifying variances to budget and provide explanations
  • Work closely with stakeholders across various departments to identify business requirements while continually identify cost and service improvement opportunities
  • Lead strategic projects and provide updates to the leadership team on progress
  • Prepare executive-level presentations for bi-annual company planning cycle, budgets, YEEs and deep-dives, articulating strategy, performance outlooks as well as challenges and opportunities for improvement
  • Lead a multi-disciplined team consisting of analysts
  • Collaborate effectively with outsourcing partners and cross-functional business unit leaders ensuring strong and optimal partnership
Critical Qualifications
  • Experience in a strategy and forecasting role, preferably in telecommunications
  • Excellent attention to detail, customer service, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent strategic thinking, statistics, modelling, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with ability to multitask and prioritize to deliver on tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to gather, organize and manipulate data and turn results into insights
  • Strong presentation skills and an ability to communicate effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment across multiple functions
  • Self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, have a strong desire to succeed and possess a strong sense of urgency
  • Quick learner, flexible and able to comfortably operate in an ever-evolving and changing environment
