Job Description
Job Summary:
The Senior Companion provides clients with various companion services in their residence in accordance with an established plan of care.
Essential Functions:
- Companion
- Provide companionship (socialize, play games, watch and discuss TV shows etc.)
- Meal preparation
- Assist with shopping, driving, running errands
- Perform light housekeeping activities
- Medication Services
- Assist with medications that the client self-administers
- High school graduate or equivalent certificate
- Experience as a Homemaker/Companion (in homes or facilities) is an asset
- Meet passing criteria on DEARS (Drugs and Ethics) test
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
- Possess a valid driver\'s license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
- Initial training will be provided
