THE POSITION

As the Senior Communications Manager, you will deliver customer-centric solutions and will play a key role to proactively shape our brand narrative, build brand preference, government relations outreach, thought leadership and responsive crisis management across our business portfolio including B2B, B2C and B2I.

This role will drive cross-team integration across earned, owned and paid channels. This position will be a relationship builder responsible for partnering across the wider product, customer support (our patient user base) and clinical operations (our doctor and health practitioner network) and business development to balance short-term tactical needs with long-term sustainable growth for the business.

Reporting directly to the VP of Brand & Communications, the Senior Communications Manager, is a key leadership position within the company. Critical to success in this role will be proven relationship building skills, intellectual curiosity, and strong analytical and project management skills. The ability to translate complex business challenges and opportunities into executive facing, narrative driven, presentations is a must. This role will prepare keynote presentations and briefing documents for meetings, summits and conferences. This role will identify opportunities to create and amplify our messages across earned channels including PR, government relations, social and comms partnerships. The successful candidate must possess a positive attitude and growth mindset, actively identifying opportunities for improvement and introducing cost-efficient winning strategies to scale earned media outreach.

Note: a healthcare background is not required for this position, however, it may be considered an asset depending on the level of experience.

12 \xe2\x80\x93 18 MONTH DELIVERABLES

To realize the company\xe2\x80\x99s high-growth mandate, within the first 90 days and in partnership with the VP of Brand & Communications, and other senior stakeholders, they will have developed a clear operational communications plan that aligns with the overarching business imperatives and timelines. The communications plan will include a proactive media approach and thought leadership plan that outlines key actionable items that will differentiate Maple in the marketplace, drive growth and strengthen the company\xe2\x80\x99s brand awareness and preference across our B2C, B2B and B2I portfolio.

Within 90 days, they will have tested 2-3 MVP earned media approaches with clearly articulated goals and metrics in place. The result will be to quickly ship (we value progress not perfection), learn and identify what can be iterated on and/or scaled.

In the next 12 to 18 months, they will have implemented the appropriate methodology, tools and weekly metrics to build, grow and measure the impact of the earned and shared media outreach establishing aspirational yet attainable operational targets to track improvements, strategically allocating resources to maximize ROI, and delivering a results-driven organization that is able to scale with the company.
