Senior Commodity Risk Analyst

Reports to:

Manager, Marketing Business Development
Purpose: As the Senior Commodity Risk Analyst, you will work with other members of the Marketing team to develop and evaluate market research and analytics for Crescent Point Energy\'s major commodities to help support internal stakeholders at Crescent Point Energy in evaluating strategic business opportunities. You will play a key role in the development and execution of our corporate commodity hedging strategy for crude oil, natural gas, and NGLs. What You Will Do:

• Gather market data and perform analysis to understand market dynamics, trends and opportunities
• Develop and maintain regular market fundamental reports to help support hedging and marketing activities
• Develop and present hedging strategies and opportunities to management
• Execute the corporation\'s hedging strategies in line with Crescent Point risk management and credit policies
• Oversee weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting functions for the marketing group
• Closely monitor and assess key events and developments in oil, gas, and NGL markets to assist in the identification of new business opportunities and impacts to Crescent Point Energy
• Proactively identify business risks and value opportunities in relation to commodity pricing
• Provide pricing and market fundamentals to support major marketing projects and M&A activity
• Generate and maintain corporate price decks
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with industry players

• 10 years of oil and gas industry experience, including 5 years of direct experience
• An undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related discipline
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills and able to manage and build strategic internal and external relationships
• A high degree of commercial aptitude and financial acumen
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills
• Intellectual curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement
• Strong organization and analytical skills with a very strong attention to detail
• Ability to generate impactful presentations
