This is a growth opportunity for our company and for the right candidate \xe2\x80\x93 will that be you? Summary: We are currently seeking a Senior Collections Officer to join our growing team! Reporting to the Director of Operations, the role of the Senior Collections Officer will be responsible for liaising with customers, third parties, and collection partners to ensure the best possible outcome for both Econolease and the customer. These outcomes include ensuring arrears payments are received and assets of Econolease are protected. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quick resolution of contracts in arrears and ensure that the income potential of assets owned by Econolease is maximised.
  • Take accountability for entities and ensure that appropriate action has been taken on accounts at all times.
  • Achieve economical desired outcomes for contracts that are in arrears for both Econolease and the customers.
  • Monitoring and Managing Econolease\xe2\x80\x99s Collection Partners to ensure they are performing to expectation and that they are taking timely and effective action on accounts assigned to them.
  • Keep management informed, flagging any potential risks likely to have a significant financial impact on the arrears portfolio/business.
  • Exercise sound commercial judgment and business acumen in the resolution of contracts in arrears.
  • Meet individual and team key performance indicators.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • 3+ years Collections experience within a financial services company.
  • Good working knowledge of processes in relation to collections, bailiffs, and commercial law.
  • Superior Commercial acumen
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, problem solving, and organizational skills are essential.

  • Ability to be empathetic and flexible will ensure a positive customer experience, thus upholding the Econolease brand.
  • Your effective, professional, and diplomatic verbal and written communications skills will assist in creating strong relationships with external stakeholders, including customers and partners within the recoveries process, and internal departments.
  • Strong computer literacy, with intermediate skills in Excel is also key to this role.
