Senior Cloud Security Analyst
Reporting to the Manager of Information Security, the Information Security Analyst for Cloud Security will act as a subject matter expert, you will be instrumental in expanding the Cloud Security program and will work closely with internal business units and vendors alike to safeguard infrastructure, applications, and workflows.
You will participate in the maintenance and monitoring of cloud security controls, strategies, and standards. You will also oversee the design, implementation and configuration of McCain cloud-based solutions - ensuring that these solutions are built and align to security best practices. We are looking for a motivated, passionate expert in cloud security, working closely with cloud architecture, to help McCain maintain highly defensible cloud infrastructure controls.

Locations - Toronto (ON) / Florenceville (NB)
Primary Functions:

• Be a subject matter expert to deliver projects from initiation through to successful implementation
• Work with various business units throughout project lifecycles to ensure cloud-based deployments meet security requirements
• Integrate cloud platforms with existing information security services and solutions (Risk Assessment, SIEM, and testing)
• Perform technical risk assessment, threat modeling of cloud services, architecture security reviews and offer technical security guidance as a trusted cloud security analyst.
• Perform architectural and design reviews through the security lens and provide timely, actionable requirements and recommendations
• Validate solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for Azure cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services

Specific Skills & Knowledge:

• Understanding of information security principles, and industry standards such as NIST, ISO and SANS.
• Deep configuration management and orchestration experience with Azure.
• Updated knowledge and understanding of new innovations impacting security of cloud workflows.
• Experience with cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) for IaaS, PaaS or SaaS.
• Experience automating key security risk assessment processes and workloads.
• Good communications skills, ability to map business needs to security solutions and helping non-technical audiences understand the benefits of these solutions
• Work with third party services to mature cloud security capabilities
• Actively participate in Information Security Incident investigation as required
• Deliver results independently with minimal guidance
• Provide high quality, relevant reporting metrics on all findings

Education and Experience:

• A strong understanding of and demonstrable work experience in securing cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) in an Information Security capacity is required.
• Experience assessing multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Current industry standard security certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA, GCIS, Microsoft) is required
• Public cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) is desirable
• Post-secondary degree (computer sciences and/or engineering) is highly desirable
• Mature understanding of information security \xe2\x80\x9cbest practices\xe2\x80\x9d including principles, security protocols and standards material such as OWASP Top 10 and SANS Critical Security Controls
• Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Microsoft cloud app security, Azure Information Protection, Data loss prevention, Information Rights Management, Intune (Conditional access/ MDM), single sign-on and multi-factor authentication and related technologies (including Microsoft Sentential)
• Deep knowledge of cloud security, vulnerabilities and best practices
• Knowledge of TCP/IP stack
• Experience working with Linux and Windows system
• Demonstrated ability to be seen and respected as a subject matter expert in your field
• Strong oral and written English skills are mandatory for this position
