We are currently seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team.

The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer participates as an infrastructure and Cloud Operations team member, applying technical expertise to installing and maintaining enterprise systems, all related infrastructure, and cloud technologies. This role provides technical expertise to support the effective and efficient operation of the organization\'s technology solutions to optimize performance and availability for system users

Here\'s what would be included as a part of your typical day * Technical Support: Analyzes, identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex infrastructure-related support items. Drives the root cause analysis process for continual improvement.

• Installation & Configuration: Installs new and/or rebuilds and configures servers, settings, configuration management, storage accounts, etc., following standards and project/operational requirements. Conducts performance and capacity planning, ensuring sustainability and stability for all First West IT infrastructure.
• Business Solutions: Identifies operational deficiencies and creates efficient and automated procedures where required. Provides a high awareness and understanding of business solutions and ensures appropriate monitoring is implemented to proactively support solutions provisioned and maintained by IT. Provide technical expertise to our existing and future enterprise system infrastructure and application environment.
• Documentation: Develops, maintains, and documents installation and configuration of IT processes and procedures, ensuring documentation is reviewed and kept current.
• Team Support: Demonstrates depth of knowledge and technical skill, providing guidance and mentoring to other team members, including knowledge transfers, operationalization, and support of new and existing solutions. Provides support to all levels within the IT group ensuring compliance within the framework of policies and standards.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree, preferably in Computer Science/IT, required or equivalent work experience
• Microsoft designations and certifications are considered an asset, AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400 and M365 Expert MS-100, MS-101
• Effective communication skills
• Analytical and logical thinking/problem-solving
• Works well in a team environment
• Expert in Microsoft Azure, VMs, containers, web applications, and networking.
• Expert knowledge with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Automation, PowerShell
• Knowledge of Azure AD, Enterprise Applications, and Conditional Access hardening
• Azure Authentication; Azure rest API; API Management
• Experience with Azure Cost Management and cost reduction strategies
• Knowledge of Windows Server and workstation, including technologies such as AD DS, DHCP, DNS, and GPO.
• Experience with Microsoft management applications such as Intune and Endpoint manager
• Working knowledge of cloud systems such as Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, M365
• Knowledge in technologies such as Backup (Commvault), managed printing services
• Familiar with systems, application monitoring, performance tuning, and NaaS
• Experience with Oracle OCI, Oracle Fusion suite considered an asset
• Familiarity with local and wide-area networking with systems such as Cisco, HP Networking, and FortiGate
• Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by demonstrating adherence to policies, guidelines, processes and procedures.
