People Can Fly is one of the leading independent AAA games development studios with an international team of hundreds of talented individuals working from offices located in Poland, UK, US, and Canada, and from all over the world thanks to our remote work programs.

Founded in 2002, we made our mark on the shooter genre with titles such as Painkiller, Bulletstorm, Gears of War: Judgment, and Outriders. We are one of the most experienced Unreal Engine studios in the industry and we are expanding it with in-house solutions called PCF Framework.

Our creative teams are currently working on several exciting titles: Gemini is our new project being developed with Square Enix; Maverick is a Triple-A game developed in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation; Bifrost, Victoria and Dagger are projects we\'re growing in the self-publishing model. We also have one project in the concept phase - Red; as well as two projects in VR technology - Green Hell VR and Bulletstorm VR - an exciting VR version of our cult-classic shooter.

  • Take ownership of the cloud environment, including planning, driving, and actively participating in its management and optimization.
  • Design and architect new applications, ensuring scalability, availability, and performance.
  • Re-architect existing solutions to enhance efficiency and meet evolving business requirements.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations.
  • Adapt the infrastructure to align with the AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
  • Conduct internal training sessions and workshops to enhance team knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
  • Several years of hands-on experience working with AWS, demonstrating expertise in various AWS services.
  • At least two years of experience in a senior cloud role, with a proven track record of successfully managing cloud environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the AWS ecosystem, including familiarity with core services, security measures, and best practices.
  • Strong experience working with automation tools and implementing infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Proficiency in Windows or Linux operating systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and different network components.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • AWS certifications, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to continuous learning.
Bonus Skills:
  • Gamedev experience, enabling you to understand the specific requirements and challenges of the gaming industry.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies, enabling seamless deployment and management of containerized applications.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles, facilitating efficient software delivery and deployment processes.
  • Developer experience, allowing you to collaborate effectively with development teams and understand their needs.
  • Additional certifications in relevant areas, demonstrating your commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Security-focused mindset, with an understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
