Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Client Manager to support our growing North American team, which supports Anthesis' global offerings by bringing innovative sustainability solutions to clients. As part of the North America team, your role will be client-facing and you will be providing clients with actionable insights to inform their sustainability strategy, goal setting, program implementation and reporting and communications activities. This includes the full scope of sustainability topics organizations may face, environmental, social and governance, from operations to supply chain. Your projects and clients will span across a diverse set of industries, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to boutique brands, and require engagement with clients, their suppliers, and their various stakeholders (employees, investors, associations and NGOs) around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Lead client engagements across the full lifecycle, from initial needs assessment to delivering measurable impact.
Build and direct cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality client delivery and outcomes.
Partner with clients to identify, frame, and address opportunities for sustainable performance improvement.
Guide clients through strategic, structural, operational, and management transformations to achieve lasting results.
Facilitate executive and cross-functional alignment to secure buy-in and resources for successful implementation.
Oversee research and analysis efforts, including data collection, synthesis, and interpretation to inform decision-making.
Conduct interviews with key stakeholders, including employees and leadership, to uncover insights and validate findings.
Design and lead workshops to foster collaboration and co-create solutions.
Diagnose organizational challenges, develop hypotheses, and formulate actionable solutions.
Prepare compelling business proposals and deliver strategic recommendations to client leadership.
Support implementation of solutions, ensuring clients have the tools, guidance, and support needed for success.
Lead and mentor project teams, including analysts and consultants, to drive performance and professional growth.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment throughout the engagement.
Key Requirements & Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
7+ years' experience in an inhouse sustainability practitioner role, management consultancy, or client management in technical or specialist sustainability consultancy
Experience working at, and navigating all levels of an organization, driving decisions and direction through influence, including executive and senior business stakeholders,
Experience working in teams, and leading teams
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Problem-solving and strategic planning capabilities
Analytical skills
Flexibility in mindset and approaches
Commercial awareness and understanding of business environments
