The Capital Finance and Delivery Unit at the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming is hiring Senior Capital Advisors to lead major infrastructure projects for Ontario's top tourism and culture agencies. As a Senior Capital Advisor, you'll provide expert advice on financial, infrastructure, and policy matters, manage capital planning and approvals, and work with partners to deliver major projects from start to finish. You'll be part of a collaborative team leading a portfolio and working with teams across the ministry and government to deliver on ministry priorities. Flexibility and a team-first mindset are key. In this role, you will:



provide strategic advice to support sound government decisions and ministry goals lead capital planning and approval processes aligned with ministry priorities collaborate with partners and stakeholders to deliver infrastructure projects efficiently oversee project execution, including timelines, budgets, and issue resolution share knowledge and mentor team members on capital planning and project delivery

lead and organize complex projects by coordinating people, timelines, and resources, both within your organization and with external partners, to deliver results effectively manage capital projects from start to finish, ensuring they move through planning, approvals, and implementation while staying on track with scope, budget, and timelines lead cross-functional or cross-agency teams, using your leadership and collaboration skills to guide decision-making and recommend funding allocations for large, multi-year projects

Technical knowledge




You have knowledge of:


capital planning, infrastructure investment, asset and risk management, financial analysis, and how to build strong business cases budgeting, planning, and policy development processes, including how to evaluate options and make sound recommendations accounting principles and financial practices, especially as they relate to planning and managing large-scale projects broader economic, legislative, and policy issues that can impact infrastructure projects, and how to provide clear advice to decision-makers and stakeholders
