Senior CAD/CAM Technologist

to support our team by producing shop drawings and CNC programs for commercial and custom millwork projects. This is a senior technical role, intended for professionals with deep production experience - not an entry-level drafting or conceptual design position.

What You'll Be Doing

Turning Design into Reality by:

o Producing shop drawings using Microvellum based on architectural drawings and specifications o Creating CNC programs and ensuring clean, accurate data transfer to the shop floor o Synchronising production information in INNERGY (ERP) to support manufacturing efficiency

Showcasing Your Technical Decision-Making by:

o Applying advanced knowledge of millwork construction, materials, joinery, tolerances, and assemblies o Identifying and resolving drawing, detailing, or constructability issues before they impact manufacturing

Raising the Bar on Drafting Standards by:

o Maintaining, updating, and improving Microvellum libraries, standards, and templates o Reviewing drafting output for accuracy, efficiency, and consistency, including peer review where appropriate

Solving Real Problems with the Project Teams by:

o Supporting project teams with technical solutions for complex or highly customised millwork scopes o Collaborating with project management, supply chain, and production to reduce drafting-related bottlenecks and rework o Supporting the internal and external drawing review and approval process as required

Leading by:

o Mentoring junior drafters and reinforcing best drafting practices




What You Bring to the Team

?

Education & Training:

Diploma or certificate in Drafting, Architectural Technology, or a related field. Cabinetmaking or hands-on millwork experience is highly desired. ?

Technical Expertise:

5+ years commercial or custom millwork drafting experience; proven proficiency in CNC programming, AutoCAD drafting and engineering software (i.e. Microvellum); and a strong understanding of millwork construction, panel processing, solid wood, hardware, assemblies, shop workflows and CNC-based production environments. ?

Attention to Detail:

Strong ability to produce precise, high-quality drawings and a strong sense of accountability, recognising the impact of your work on the success of the team and projects overall. ?

Collaboration & Communication:

Effective teamwork and communication skills, with a positive, forward-thinking, and solution-oriented mindset. ?

Organisational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. ?

Eagerness to Learn:

A proactive mindset and willingness to develop technical skills within the millwork industry in a growing manufacturing company.
