Salary: $32.21 to $36.06 Hourly paid by annualy salary (40hrs/week)
Job Purpose: The Purchasing and Inventory Specialist will ensure the timely and efficient management of our purchasing and inventory. This person will play a key role in the quoting of and execution of projects as it relates to job specific materials and monitoring of stock levels. This person enjoys engaging others, working collaboratively and developing strong working relationships at all levels of the organization. Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

• Ensure the planning of and purchasing of materials necessary to support successful execution of our projects.
• Support in the quoting process via RFQs to vendors and communicate with our quoting team to source appropriate materials.
• Review quotes to determine suppliers with the highest quality goods at lowest possible price.
• Complete purchase orders as per AS9100 requirements and PCI internal processes, ensuring quality requirements are understood and passed to vendors.
• Review inventory at regular intervals to ensure stock levels in our MRP are up to date and adequate supply of necessary goods/consumables are maintained.
• Work with quality department to discuss defective or unacceptable goods and determine disposition or corrective action required.
• Perform quarterly analysis of vendor performance and work with QA via our vendor approval process.
• Knowledge of or keen interest to learn composites materials with specific regard to project related requirements.
• Track status of orders and resolve errors on purchase orders, as required.
• Lead improvements in purchasing, inventory and logistics processes.

Ensure quality and safety standards are met in our day to day working environment

• Consistently confirm paperwork is completed as necessary
• Follow ISO 9001 and AS 9100 procedures accordingly
• Adhere to top notch safety standards and contribute to the supervision of all employees in this regard

Assist with other shop projects, duties and responsibilities as needed. Qualifications: 7+ years in purchasing and inventory management 1-2 years in ISO 9001 and AS 9100 certified company Bachelor\'s degree Experience with MRP systems a requirement Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft excel and entire Microsoft suite Strong aptitude for working in teams Working conditions Paterson Composites promotes a safe and clean working environment that meets or exceeds standards prescribed by the Ministry of Labour (Ontario) and WSIB standards. Work will be conducted indoors in our manufacturing shop. Personal protective equipment will be necessary when operating on the shop floor including safety shoes (CSA Green Triangle) and safety glasses. Respiratory protection, hearing protection, appropriate gloves and work suits will be mandatory as required. Other conditions include:

• Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and different shifts, on occasion, based on demanding manufacturing schedules

Physical requirements: This role must have the following abilities:

• Valid Driver\'s License
• Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
