About the Role

The Senior Buyer plays an active role in the identification and execution of priorities for purchasing, negotiation with suppliers and implementing contracts, with the focus in our MRO activities.

Objectives

Perform purchasing activities for MRO operations Support the Procurement Manager in the shaping and execution of the strategy

Key Responsibilities

MRO Purchasing:

Prepare and process purchase orders, ensure follow-ups with vendors and keep the information up-to-date in the ERP system; Negotiate with suppliers, obtain and evaluate quotes for new products and services; Negotiate annual supply agreements; Build and maintain supplier relationships, improve costs, quality and lead-times;
Support to management:

With the Procurement Manager, define and oversee the department's strategy; Update KPI metrics for purchasing operations, vendor performance and inventory forecast levels; Fill in for the Manager in Management meetings when required; Perform other duties as required.

Your ideal background

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Operations Management or any other relevant diploma; 8-10 years of relevant experience in a similar position; Proactive with problem solving; Project Management skills (Planning, organizational and stress management skills); Thriving in the MRO aerospace environment; Comfortable with ambiguity; Initiative and Resourcefulness; Good knowledge of CRM, ERP and MS Office 365; Bilingual (French and English).

The position requires a very good knowledge of English, both oral and written. The position involves reading and understanding technical documents in English on a daily basis, especially from international companies, as well as regular communication with customers, suppliers and other international stakeholders.*
