We have an opportunity in Finance. We are hiring a Senior Business Analyst.
What You Will Do
--------------------
As the Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the effective operation, maintenance and administration of TTC's SAP S4 Hana General Ledger (GL). You will ensure that the data input into S4 Hana and its output is accurate, complete and accessible. In this role, you will provide TTC-wide business process and technical support for these systems, and will be the first point of contact for GL system related inquiries and will work closely with the SAP Center of Expertise (COE).
As the incumbent you will also create, modify and maintain TTC's centralized financial and budget reports using Analysis for Microsoft Excel to facilitate informed decision made by senior management.
You will consult and analyze the reporting needs and requirements of Management and financial users and make recommendations on how best to obtain required information (via SAP, FIORI, MS Analysis, Power BI, Payroll subledger). Create new reports in MS Analysis to meet information requirements by senior management, test and maintain them for use across TTC. In addition, monitor period end transactions and ensure all deadlines are met to enable financial period close to occur within communicated timeframe
As the Senior Business Analyst, you will oversee and ensure the timely and complete interface and IDoc corrections of financial systems (Workforce, Maximo, IFS, Dynamics, E-time, SAP JE Excel Tool) to the SAP General Ledger. Ensure Finance requirements are met in User Acceptance Testing by preparing, executing and documenting the testing of finance impacting changes introduced by new SAP patches or upgrades
Responsible for overseeing the work of the Business Analyst to ensure they acquire sustainable knowledge, skills and technical competencies and that the goals and objectives of the team are achieved.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?

Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
Must possess a recognized accounting designation (i.e. CPA, CA; CPA, CMA; or CPA, CGA).
Experience preparing financial statements using Public Sector Accounting Standards is an asset. Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities in order to effectively analyze users' needs or requirements to provide appropriate guidance and to troubleshoot root causes of financial systems or reporting problems or errors identified by stakeholders (e.g. users, ITS, SAP Project consultants)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Advanced knowledge of SAP reporting tools and must have or rapidly acquire expertise knowledge developing reports using the MS Analysis reporting tool
Strong time management, organizational and project management skills
Must have or quickly develop expert knowledge using SAP General Ledger Module (FICO), FIORI and MS Analysis and Power BI
Demonstrated experience performing master data maintenance, reporting maintenance and period end routines and journal entry and workflow processing in an ERP system
Must have or rapidly acquire in depth knowledge of TTC's financial system interfaces, cost allocation methods and internal & external financial reporting requirements
Must have or rapidly acquire in depth knowledge of and experience using SAP JE Excel Tool and financial systems and processes that impact reporting
Knowledge of SAP user security roles, access and t-codes
Must have experience preparing and executing IT test plans related to defects, systems upgrades or enhancements or disaster recovery testing
Will be required to perform testing outside of normal business hours
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting standards and their application
Knowledge of current office automation technology, PC hardware/software and relevant applications (Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Skype, SharePoint) Flexible and comfortable working in an environment of constant change
Must have the ability to plan, organize and co-ordinate the activities of staff and motivate staff to achieve a high level of productivity
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
