UHN is a caring, creative place where amazing people are amazing the world.Position SummaryAs an integral member of the Supply Chain Decision Support team within our Procurement and Supply Chain portfolio, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for providing in-depth reporting and analysis to enhance supply chain operation and efficiency across the system. They will collaborate closely with Sourcing, Purchasing, Materials Management and Procurement Finance on a range of ad hoc and routine activities, including spend and rebate analysis, reporting on key performance indicators, and as subject matter experts on the structure and use of data from SAP S4/Hana and Ariba.Duties:

  • Combine supply chain and procurement knowledge with strong analytical skills to manage a wide variety of tasks within the portfolio and health system
  • Lead complex spend and basket analyses for stakeholders, providing data and information as well as recommendations on opportunities for efficient procurement and cost savings
  • Identify opportunities and solutions to optimize, streamline, scale and continuously improve programs and services and develop improvement experiments, data-driven recommendations, and actionable implementation plans.
  • Effectively use data visualization and presentation tools to clearly communicate findings, risks and recommendations
  • Support the development of a performance management framework in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Design, develop and maintain KPI dashboards combining data from a number of different sources
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders and operate with a high level of independence
  • Conduct data quality investigations and engage in continuous data quality improvement
  • Perform cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent program; MBA is an asset
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years related experience in a supply chain/financial environment analyzing and interpreting complex financial/business data
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated project management skills; ability to organize, control and coordinate a variety of activities in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
  • Experience in development of business cases, including conducting environmental scans, risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, performance measures, identifying trends, and developing recommendations.
  • Ability to synthesize and present complex data, explaining key elements, drawing insight, and making recommendations to stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in working with relational databases (SQL Server) is preferred
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Ariba are assets
  • Adheres to confidentiality policy for sensitive financial and clinical data and information
  • Highly motivated team player willing to mentor less experienced colleagues
