Job Description

:

• We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work with the Housing New Brunswick (HNB) Loans Project Team to manage data conversion from legacy loan systems to the HNB COTS solution.
• The role involves collaboration with multiple government departments, external vendors, and stakeholders to create interface specifications and lead technical documentation for the project.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Business Analyst supporting information systems specific to government service delivery agencies
• Minimum of 3 years of IM/IT experience on projects that involve data conversion and/or interface specifications between systems

Experience:

• Experience performing Senior Business Analyst activities, such as facilitating workshops, capturing business/user requirements, process design activities, and IT solution implementations
• Experience supporting information systems specific to government service delivery agencies, such as SNB, SD, NBHC
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams, including in-house and external stakeholders and vendors
• Experience producing interface specifications used to communicate with external systems, such as Oracle Financials, financial institutions, or other government departments/corporations
• Experience in migrating data from legacy IT systems (Cobol experience preferred)
• Experience working in the housing sector or with housing management systems (preferred)
• Experience in delivering and managing financial systems, including those involving small-to-large loans
• Experience working with Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions

Responsibilities:

• Convert existing loans data from legacy systems to the HNB COTS solution using vendor-supplied dataloaders
• Work with the HNB Loans Project Team, government departments, and external vendors to produce interface specifications for communication between the HNB COTS solution and external systems like Oracle Financials, financial institutions, and other government departments/corporations
• Lead facilitated sessions to gather content, document, and obtain consensus for configuration and technical specifications
• Identify risks, issues, and conflicts originating from business change requirements
• Maintain a working knowledge of the HNB COTS solution
• Work with the Quality Assurance Team(s) to ensure testing of data conversion and interfaces is successful
• Collaborate with the Trainer/Change Manager to ensure successful training related to data conversion and interfaces
• Assist the HNB Loans Project Team with the deployment of the solution to production
• Attend project team status meetings and working group meetings as required
• Assist in the creation of documents, SOPs, and other supporting documents

Should Have:

• Experience in data conversion and interface specifications in a government or housing context
• Familiarity with working in cross-functional teams involving both internal and external stakeholders

Skills:

• Strong facilitation and communication skills
• Expertise in producing interface specifications and data conversion methodologies
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks related to business change requirements
• Proficiency in managing complex technical documentation

Qualification And Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a Senior Business Analyst role
