Join our team in the Information Services Branch and help us to research, develop, enhance and launch business systems and our website. You will report directly to the Manager, Parliamentary Systems and collaborate closely with a dynamic group of developers and IM/IT professionals.



This is a backfill position.




What You'll Do

You'll act with integrity to:




Discover and document requirements related to information technology initiatives. Recommend changes to business processes and parliamentary systems as a result of deep research, testing and analysis. Lead quality assurance activities including test planning, writing test cases, executing tests and reporting on results. You will be responsible for validating the accuracy and integrity of changes to data and systems on behalf of developers and project teams. Provide monitoring and guidance to project teams and report up to leadership. Identify and create training materials and documentation, as well as conducting training and workshops. Present viable business solutions and cases.

You'll support our collaboration as you:




Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to communicate system and process changes. Work alongside developers and other experts on Agile teams to ensure user stories are well documented, understood, and thoroughly tested. Proactively identify and recommend system improvements and process optimizations or automations. Participate in project teams and committees, providing research, consultative support and fact-finding services. Regularly report on best practices in (parliamentary) information technology, contributing to the development of the Assembly's standards and processes.

How You Qualify

You demonstrate excellence through your:




University degree or equivalent in business administration, information management and technology or related field. Experience gathering requirements, evaluating systems and processes, conducting quality assurance testing, and following best practices. Five or more years of progressive work experience with business systems and websites. Familiarity with Microsoft's Power Platform, Azure DevOps and related enterprise software environments and tools. Demonstrated client service, Agile, and project management skills including planning, organizing, related tools and practices. Strong communication skills when addressing technical and non-technical clients and colleagues. Ability to problem-solve with superior analytical skills.
