Requisition ID: 205050Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.What you\'ll be doing.The incumbent is responsible for analyzing and executing on operational efficiencies, including but not limited to system enhancements, process change improvements, regulatory and compliance requirements and supporting prioritized initiatives across Global HR Solutions. They contribute to the overall success of Global HR Solutions by ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team\xe2\x80\x99s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Assists with the development of strategies, recommendations, including business benefits and costs, implementation, training, and change management strategies
  • Completes business analysis and consults with business sponsors/stakeholders to explore, assess, and recommend business solutions.
  • Supports the team with:
  • Analysis of work flow processes and procedures
  • Root cause and gap analysis and the design of future state work flow processes and procedures and analyzes system flows.
  • Determining business impact for changes in processes and procedures
  • Defining system application requirements for modifications to existing processes, or the creation of new applications and/or processes
  • Preparing requirement documents for Development and lead walkthrough discussions
  • Executing test cases and documenting any defects
  • Documents and coordinates training and communication
  • Business stakeholder sessions
  • Implementation of operational effectiveness plans and solutions
  • Understands how the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank\xe2\x80\x99s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We\'d love to work with you if you have:
  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resource, Business (Operations), Science, Engineering or HR Technology
  • Lean and six sigma disciplines demonstrated through holding a formal designation (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Six Sigma Black Belt) is an asset
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
  • Strong scientific and analytical understanding of processes and quality systems
  • Competence in systematically solving problems using appropriate process improvement methodologies to analyze complex data/information from different cross-functional teams, both locally and globally
  • Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
  • Sound judgement to evaluate and analyze information, and effectively resolve issues
  • Familiarity with related software programs (such as Microsoft Project, Minitab, Flowchart software, Enterprise Resource Planning)
  • PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Human Resource policies, procedures, systems and operational processes would be an asset
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory \xe2\x80\x93 written and speaking
