Join us as we build a knowledgeable and collaborative team that courageously changes how transit projects will be delivered.Our Lakeshores, Union and Specialized Delivery (LUSD) Commercial Management team is seeking two Senior Business Analysts to join our team to support the management infrastructure projects. This role will support the development o fan integrated division workplan to manage project delivery, delivery analysis, and interpretation of findings and clear articulation of results and insights into the performance of LUSD Commercial Management projects.What will I be doing?

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business goals, practices, and processes that define project scope and specifications
  • Translate high-level, conceptual business strategies and objectives into system functionality & user- requirement to guide service development activities and support business leaders
  • In partnership with Metrolinx and Project Co team members, develop key business metrics, performance measures, and strategies for LUSD commercial related to the design, construction, and target implementation of various projects (e.g. standard operating procedures and workflows) to automate business functions and gauge effectiveness of technology solutions
  • Provide reporting support, specifically using visualization tools and development of standards and best practices for quality of the reporting and analytics
  • Represent LUSD Commercial and collaborate with Project Co, vendors, and other Metrolinx partners to gather qualitative and quantitative data needed for decision making, especially during issues resolution
  • Assist the business to understand PA- related challenges and manage expectations during project implementation and lead change management efforts, including communications, risk mitigation strategies, documentation and implementation to promote innovation and adoption of best practices based on industry and business knowledge
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
  • Post-secondary degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Business Process Improvement, or a related discipline- or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in project analysis, coordination, reporting on complex projects, preferably in the transit or construction industry and/or the public sector
  • Experience with computerized quantitative and analytic tools (e.g. data modeling, workflows, and business process analysis) and with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
  • Interpersonal, oral/written/presentation communication skills to document and present business needs, specifications, reports, project documents, and implementation plans
