Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for two permanent, full-time positions of Senior Business Analyst (Strategy & Portfolio) in Information Technology. The Senior Business Analyst provides ongoing support for the Strategy and Portfolio Management Office (S&P). The S&P Senior Business Analyst is a proficient facilitator and is accountable for leading strategic initiatives (e.g.: development of assessments, business cases; with supporting rational), which can include everything from process improvement and/or re-engineering through to identification and recommendation for new / replacement of technology enabling business solutions. The S&P Senior Business Analyst is responsible for leading and planning their engagements, is self-sufficient and is comfortable working independently with senior level management / customers.
The S&P Senior Business Analyst is adept at working with project and operational teams and other stakeholders from across the organization to identify and ensure planned products and services will meet organization needs and be compliant with all relevant standards.
In support of this work, the S&P Senior Business Analyst is a subject matter expert in business process improvement and/or re-engineering and continuous improvement efforts, with significant experience in gathering requirements / traceability, gap analysis and related project support activities.
