Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Toronto, Ontario or Calgary, Alberta.

The position reports directly to the Director, Commercial Strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing commercial strategies and business plans, providing analytical data and support to grow the Aftermarket business across the breadth of the De Havilland Aircraft of Canada enterprise. Together, with your manager, you will co-develop / execute on yearly goals & objectives and determine how best to utilize all available tools and resources to achieve expected results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, execute, and keep up-to-date analytical processes & techniques to support sales team initiatives
  • Develop, implement and refine digital analytics to identify customer trends and identify opportunities, including lost sales reporting, customer trending and predictive modeling / forecasting and lost sales indicators and corrective action
  • Support the sales team in the development and implementation of 5-year sales plans by region and customer
  • Develop share of wallet growth strategies and implement supporting sales processes and business case rationale
  • Support the pricing team with analytics in the development of the annual trade parts catalog
  • In conjunction with the sales team, develop and implement a customer segmentation and engagement strategy for all lines of business
  • Support sales promotional initiatives and track key success indicators
  • Perform daily quote reporting and initiate follow ups, including analysis of quote to sale conversion success
  • Lead projects, including the development of business plans, to grow and expand the aftermarket business offerings
  • Develop, implement and maintain standard governance packages
  • Study the latest aerospace trends, identifying business opportunities from customer demands and interests to develop revenue resources to establish and maintain De Havilland\xe2\x80\x99s leading market share and ensure business\' financial stability.
  • Support other initiatives and projects as required
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration / Management or related field with strong emphasis on mathematics or statistics required
  • Minimum of three years of experience preparing sales analyses in a marketing environment or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the aerospace aftermarket industry is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion to tell a story from the data, to assist the business in make strategic decisions
  • Ability to interpret data and identify data trends
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • You have a sound understanding of relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL database, Oracle DB, and the ability to extract reports. Strong skills to develop report/dashboards using Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Tableau.
