We are seeking a

Senior Business Administrator

to support the VP of Applied Science within the Teams Core Engineering organization. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic leadership team focused on driving innovation and scale for Microsoft Teams. As a trusted partner and point of coordination, the Business Administrator will handle complex calendar management, cross-functional communications, site visits, team support and process improvements for the organization. This is a fast-paced environment, in need of streamlining operations and enabling strategic priorities. Qualifications



Required Qualifications:

2+ years Administrative, Business Support, and/or customer service experience. 3+ years Business Support in an environment with an emphasis on scheduling meetings/events, travel management, and basic administration work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Ability to exercise sound judgment, handle confidential information, and effectively resolve challenges independently. Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Sociology) + OR equivalent experience.
1+ years experience reviewing and managing administrative budgets (e.g., for events, morale, travel, training). 4+ years experience supporting senior leaders or managing business operations within the tech industry. Analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with process improvement initiatives. Experience working cross-functionally and with geographically distributed teams. Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and proactively anticipate business needs.

Business Support ATR-C - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $52,200 - CAD $87,600 per year.

Responsibilities



Coordinate and manage complex calendar scheduling, including internal and external meetings, across multiple time zones for the VP. Facilitate effective cross-group relationship building and communication. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency, streamline workflows, and support organizational priorities. Organize and execute logistics for team events, offsites, all-hands meetings, cross group site visits and key business reviews, ensuring seamless coordination from planning through delivery. Serve as a trusted liaison between the VP, internal teams, and external partners, handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Support onboarding of new team members across Teams Core Engineering at the Vancouver site, including provisioning resources, facilitating introductions, and ensuring a positive ramp-up experience. Champion team well-being by organizing morale-boosting activities, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work culture across the Vancouver Team site as well as for the Applied Science team. Collaborate on special projects and strategic initiatives as directed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to evolving business needs. Oversee space management responsibilities, including tracking team seating assignments, coordinating office moves, and partnering with peers and leadership to ensure optimal workspace utilization.
