Senior Brand Marketing Specialist (13 month contract position)

Reports to:

Director, Brand Marketing

Job Purpose:

The Sr Brand Marketing Specialist will develop & execute Marketing strategy, commercialization plans and programs to drive both trade and consumer brand awareness, brand equity, market share, consumer conversion and sales growth across a variety of channels in North America for the assigned business. The Sr. Brand Marketing Specialist will collaborate across multi-functional stakeholder groups to develop, align, and execute Marketing plans while remaining flexible to capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:



Plan, develop & execute a wide variety of B2B and B2C brand and customer advertising, marketing collateral, channel/customer programs, promotions, price books, website content, point of sale communications & merchandising solutions. Collaborate internally & externally with creative partners to develop public relations & advertising. Collaborate with internal teams including: Design, Digital, Photo/Video, Sales and Product Management in creating Marketing assets. Participate in Stage Gate Meetings for assigned business, review R&D/Product Management pipeline projects, provide Brand Marketing plan input and alignment to launch timelines. Develop new product commercialization plans/programs and coordinate photo/video, packaging, development, and asset development with internal teams & external partners. Ensure excellence in execution of programs & adherence to critical trade milestones for communication. Lead annual planning for assigned business, collaborating cross functionally to develop the plan and budget that delivers business objectives. Collaborate with Digital Marketing team to develop integrated communication plans. Then gain internal alignment and communicate the plan to key stakeholders, including Sales. Develop strong external vendor/supplier relationships to ensure best in class creative/program development & execution. Be the voice of North American assigned business consumers to the business & continue to evolve our understanding of them, recommending & leading consumer/trade research initiatives in collaboration with Product Management team. Manage assigned business budget & provide monthly financial updates. Be a brand guardian both internally across the organization & externally, ensuring adherence to brand standards. Support Sr. Brand Marketing Manager on assigned projects/initiatives

Education and Experience:



Undergraduate degree, certificate or comparable post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, Commerce. Minimum 2 years' experience in B2B Marketing. Consumer Packaged or Hard Goods experience preferred. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Knowledge of the assigned business / industry desired (HVAC/Hearth). Must be able to accommodate occasional travel. Demonstrated experience in developing branded B2B programs and promotions that drove business results. Demonstrated understanding of the different channels of business (distributor, dealer, wholesaler etc.) and understanding of different customer audience needs. Some experience of B2C or consumer marketing desired/considered a strong asset. Good organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize & demonstrate flexibility within a fast-paced work environment. High level of accuracy & attention to detail. High collaboration orientation & ability to lead cross functional teams & motivate others. Strong communication skills & the ability to engage & influence key stakeholders on a project Ability to make sound business recommendations rooted in consumer/customer insight or knowledge. Good problem-solving skills.
