Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Barista to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of coffee culture and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in training and mentoring junior baristas, fostering a collaborative team environment. Manage cash handling processes, including accurate cashiering and daily cash reconciliation. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, collaborating with the kitchen as necessary to ensure smooth operations. Utilize basic math skills for accurate measurement of ingredients and cash transactions. Ensure timely food preparation while adhering to quality standards and presentation guidelines.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food service industry, particularly as a barista or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment operation. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods. Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Foodsafe and Serving it Right Certificates.
