Purpose:



Reporting to the Manager, Banking & Risk, the Senior Banking Accountant will be primarily responsible for assisting with the banking and risk operations of Whitecap Resources Inc.'s operating and holding companies.


Main Responsibilities & Activities:



Review, record, and reconcile daily cash transactions using Qbyte FM. Monitor the Banking distribution inbox and respond to inquiries Assist with cash management activities including daily cash forecasting, wire payments, intercompany transfers, GST returns and foreign exchange. Ensure proper process and documentation steps are followed for internal controls. Collaborate with business units to coordinate accurate forecasting. Support financial reporting requirements. Produce data, reports and dashboards using applications. Participate in process improvement initiatives. Complete monthly bank reconciliations. Assist with credit reviews and trade finance activities. Assist with special projects as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



A post-secondary degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, or business administration is required. Minimum 7 years of progressive experience with cash management activities and other related banking functions. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in QbyteFM, Microsoft Suite and Open Invoice are required. Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision with the ability to prioritize tasks. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines. Enthusiastic individual with an excellent work ethic, exceptional attention to detail and a focus on accuracy. A team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals. Understanding of finance and accounting policies. * Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
